Find answers about accounts, connections, routes and billing. Identify where the issue occurs, then follow the relevant steps. If you need more help, submit a ticket through the user panel.
ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION
Account & Subscription
Keep your account credentials secure, confirm which configuration you’re using, then manage device transfers and subscription updates.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my credentials?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can easily recognize, and store both credentials in a trusted password manager. Don’t reuse passwords from other sites or save your credentials in public notes or shared screenshots. You’ll need to sign in to the user panel to access your subscription, view orders or submit a support ticket. Since accounts aren’t linked to email addresses, don’t assume you can recover access by email. If you have trouble signing in, check your input method, capitalization and autofill entries, then save the error message and use the recovery option actually shown in the panel.
How do I refresh my subscription link? What if no new routes appear afterward?
Sign in to the user panel and find the current subscription link in the subscription section. Then open the subscription or configuration manager in your client and refresh the configuration you’re using. Refreshing a subscription and switching routes are different actions: the former syncs your configuration; the latter changes your current connection exit. If nothing changes after a refresh, make sure the client is using the updated configuration, not an old copy. Then check your plan status and remaining data in the panel, and save the original error message if the refresh failed. If the panel offers a link reset option, replace the old link in every client you use after resetting it. Treat your subscription link as sensitive account access information and don’t share it publicly.
Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?
There’s no limit on the number of devices that can be online at the same time. Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux are supported, and changing devices alone doesn’t require you to choose a new plan. Sign in to the user panel on your new device, follow the instructions for its platform to get a client and subscription, then import your account configuration. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean each device gets a separate data allowance, so check your current plan in the panel to see what’s available. Once setup is complete, make sure the new device has a valid configuration selected and can access the service you need. Before handing off your old device, remove saved subscription and login details so your account information isn’t left on it.
What’s the difference between a subscription link and a login password? Can I share them with support for troubleshooting?
Your login password gets you into the user panel. Your subscription link lets a client retrieve the connection configuration for your account. Keep both private. When reporting a problem, share the client name, operating system, error message, selected route and what you were doing. Don’t post the full link or password in a public forum. When sharing screenshots, hide your subscription URL, account details and any sensitive order information. If you think your link has been exposed, check whether the panel lets you reset it, then replace the old configuration on your other devices. If your password may have been exposed, change it in your account settings. Deleting a chat message doesn’t count as changing compromised credentials.
CONNECTION / DIAGNOSIS
Connection Issues
First check that your basic network connection is working, then distinguish between client configuration, app routing and destination service issues.
The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. Where should I start troubleshooting?
Disconnect the client first and check whether your local network can access sites that normally work. If the basic connection is down, fix that before troubleshooting the client. Once your local network is working, check your plan status and remaining data in the panel, refresh your subscription, and confirm the client has a valid configuration selected. Then check whether the system proxy or the client’s required traffic-capture mode is enabled. Temporarily close other tools that manage network traffic to prevent conflicting settings. Test in both a browser and the affected app to see whether all access is failing or only one service. If the problem persists, submit a support ticket with the error message, route name, network environment and steps you’ve already tried.
Why does my browser use the proxy, but a particular app doesn’t?
A working browser only confirms that the browser’s own traffic is taking the expected path; it doesn’t mean the client is handling traffic from every app. Some apps ignore the system proxy or use their own networking components. Per-app settings, direct-connection rules and app caches can also affect routing. Check whether the app is on a direct-connection or exclusion list, then review the client’s rule mode. If the client supports a more comprehensive traffic-capture mode, follow its instructions to grant the required permissions and test again. Don’t run multiple traffic-capture tools at the same time. After changing settings, reopen the app and note whether the problem occurs at sign-in, while loading content or during ongoing transfers to narrow down the cause.
How do I reconnect after my device sleeps or switches networks?
Sleep, switching from Wi-Fi to another network, or network reauthentication can interrupt an existing connection. First make sure the new network is working, then reconnect in the client. If the current configuration won’t load, refresh your subscription once the network is back. On mobile devices, check whether the system restricts background activity for the client. On desktop, after waking from sleep, check whether the system proxy still points to a local process that has stopped. Don’t rely on the connection icon alone; open the destination page and confirm that its content loads. If the issue occurs on a particular network, note the network conditions before and after switching and any client messages, rather than repeatedly changing unrelated account settings.
What information should I include in a connection troubleshooting ticket?
Describe the issue through the support ticket section in the user panel. Include your operating system, client name, current network, selected route, destination service, error message and when the issue occurred. Explain the steps that reproduce it. If only one app is affected, say whether the browser works and whether the failure happens at sign-in or while loading content. If nothing works, describe your basic network connection with the client disconnected. You can attach redacted screenshots, but don’t upload your login password, full subscription link or URLs containing sensitive parameters. List any steps you’ve already tried, such as refreshing the subscription, switching routes or checking proxy settings, to avoid repeated questions. Keep follow-up replies in the same ticket.
ROUTES / APPLICATIONS
Speed & Routes
Route names can help guide your choice, but sustained playback, stable sessions and destination service messages are what matter in practice.
Video buffering at peak hours: should I change plans or routes first?
Check the connection path first; buffering doesn’t automatically mean you need a larger data plan. Confirm that your remaining data and local network are fine, pause heavy transfers on other devices, then compare routes using the same video at similar quality. Changing plans usually won’t help if your local network is unstable. If only the target platform buffers, check the exit region, the platform’s messages and the client’s routing rules. Peak-hour performance depends on your local connection, cross-border routing and the destination service’s load. Choose a route based on sustained playback in practice. Note when buffering occurred, the route name and how the routes compared, then include those details in a support ticket; they’re more useful than simply saying the connection is slow.
How should I choose between IEPL, transit and direct routes?
Route types describe how a connection is carried; they don’t guarantee a particular speed for every app. IEPL generally refers to a dedicated-line path, transit routes connect through an intermediate node, and direct routes use a different exit connection method. Actual performance still depends on your local network, chosen region and destination service. Start with your use case: for video, check playback consistency; for work, check whether sessions remain stable; for AI tools, check both the service’s regional requirements and whether streaming responses complete. Keep the task the same while comparing routes. Switching both apps and exits at once makes it harder to identify the cause. See the panel and your client’s current configuration for available regions and route names.
How broad is the coverage? Do the route region and destination service region have to match?
VPNLF covers 110+ countries and 230+ routes. This range describes the available international routes; it doesn’t mean every destination service is available in every region or that all exits provide the same content. Before connecting, check the service’s regional requirements and choose a route that suits your needs. Geographic proximity can help narrow down your options, but it doesn’t replace testing. Your account region, content licensing and the service’s own checks may also affect access. After connecting, check the destination page’s regional notices, sign-in status and content loading. If a service denies access, save the original message rather than assuming availability based on the exit name alone.
An AI tool reports a region error, or streaming content doesn’t change. What should I do?
Read the destination service’s message first to distinguish an unsupported region, account permissions, a restricted request or a connection failure. Confirm that the selected region meets the service’s published requirements, then check that the client routes the app’s relevant requests through the intended path. Browser extensions, routing rules and app caches can make the result differ from what the exit name suggests. After changing the configuration, reopen the service and test again. Avoid repeatedly switching regions or trying to sign in over and over. AI tools may have different requirements for web access, streaming responses and API calls; a working connection doesn’t guarantee that your account has the necessary permissions. When submitting a support ticket, include the error message and how you were using the service, but never share API keys or session credentials.
BILLING / REFUNDS
Billing & Refunds
Monthly plan data resets on your activation date; data packs last until used and never expire. Check your account and payment records before handling an order.
How much do monthly plans cost? When does data reset, and how are upgrades calculated?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Before choosing, consider whether you mainly browse, stream regularly or transfer files for work, then compare that with your usage in the panel. You don’t need to choose a higher tier just because you use multiple devices. Check your account’s actual activation record for the reset date rather than assuming it follows the calendar month. Before upgrading, review your current plan, remaining validity and the prorated amount shown on the confirmation page. If anything is unclear, save the page details and confirm through a support ticket before proceeding.
What data packs are available? Are they suitable for occasional use?
Data packs are ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB and ¥658 for 3000GB. They last until used and never expire. Unlike monthly plans, which reset on your activation date each month, data packs suit occasional use when you can assess your actual consumption before choosing. They don’t add a new allowance every month. Use your browsing, video and file-transfer history to estimate what you need; time spent online alone isn’t a reliable guide because different content uses different amounts of data. If you already have a monthly plan, check the panel for details on how plans interact, which balance is used first and what will appear on your order before adding a data pack. If the panel doesn’t explain something, confirm it through a support ticket instead of assuming the plans can be combined.
Which payment methods are supported? What if my plan doesn’t change after payment?
Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT are supported. Create an order in the user panel, check the selected plan, amount and order status, then follow the current checkout instructions to complete payment. If your plan hasn’t changed after payment, check the order list and make sure you’re signed in to the same account you used to place the order. Don’t assume an order succeeded just because the payment page closed, and don’t create the same order repeatedly while its status is unclear. If the payment record and panel status don’t match, submit a support ticket with the order ID, selected plan, payment method and a redacted receipt. For payment settlement or order issues, the panel record and ticket review are authoritative; no fixed processing time is promised.
How do I request a refund? Do I need to troubleshoot connection issues first?
VPNLF offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, open a ticket through the user panel, state clearly that you’re requesting a refund and include the order ID and payment record needed to verify it. Please also read the refund terms in the Terms of Service. You don’t need to complete connection troubleshooting before requesting a refund. If you’d rather try to resolve an issue first, describe it in the same ticket and explain how you’d like to proceed. Don’t share full payment receipts, account passwords or subscription links publicly. Check for replies in the original ticket and provide any additional information requested. A refund request and order cancellation are separate actions; the panel and ticket record show how the order is being handled and its current status.
